Caleb Williams: From Heisman Trophy Winner to Chicago Bears QB

Early Life and Career

Caleb Sequan Williams was born on November 18, 2001, in Washington, D.C. He began playing football at an early age and quickly emerged as a standout player.

Williams attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., where he led the Eagles to a 20-0 record and a national championship in 2019. He was named the Gatorade National Football Player of the Year for his performance.

College Career

Williams committed to play college football at the University of Oklahoma in 2020. In his freshman season, he started 11 games and led the Sooners to a 9-2 record.

In 2021, Williams transferred to the University of Southern California (USC). He had a breakout season, throwing for 4,075 yards and 42 touchdowns with only five interceptions. He led USC to an 11-2 record and a Pac-12 Championship.

Heisman Trophy Victory

In 2022, Williams continued his stellar play, leading USC to a 12-1 record and a berth in the College Football Playoff. He won the prestigious Heisman Trophy, awarded to the nation's top college football player.

NFL Career

After his exceptional college career, Williams was widely regarded as the top prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft. He was selected with the first overall pick by the Chicago Bears.

Williams is expected to start for the Bears in 2024. He has a rare combination of athleticism, arm strength, and leadership skills that make him a highly promising quarterback for the future.
